Diwali is the festival of Lights; this festival is celebrated by Hindus. This is biggest festival of Laxmi ji, the Happiness, Bless, properties and wealth. This festival is celebrated in five days continuously, first day is celebrated as Dhanteras, second day is celebrated as Choti Diwali, Third day is celebrated as Laxmi puja on DIWALI, Fourth day is celebrated as Padwa & Govardhan Puja and Fifth day is celebrated as a Bhai Duj.
This year Diwali festival is celebrating on 23rd October 2014. According to Hindu calender, Diwali festival celebrated in the month of Kartik. This festival is celebrated with Lights and Diyas in Day of Amavasya or “No Moon Day”. Every year, Hindus festival diwali is celebration of light and celebrated in October and November Months.
In Ramayan, after killing the king Ravana (Demon) when Lord Ram (King of Ayodhya), his wife Sita and brother Laxman return his Kingdom after 14 years of exile. Whole kingdom Light up with Diyas and candles and people welcome his king Lord Ram.
On night of Diwali, every Hindu is performed Laxmi Pujan in the evening and done traditional pujan in their home, shop & office. In Diwali, people decorate their homes, office and shop with lights and Diyas.
They perpare sweets like Gonth ke Laddu, Sohan Papdi, Mawa Kachori, Jalebi, Piste ke Launji, Besan Barfi, Moti pak, Til ke Laddo (this is few names) etc.
