Eid is the festival of Muslims that celebrate after 30 days of Ramadan.  It is one of the favorite and main occasion of Muslims which is celebrated widely all round the world. It is celebrated after the end of Ramadan Fasting. It also called Eid Al-Fitr or Meethi Eid

Muslims attend a special community prayer in the morning and visit relatives and friends to exchange greetings of “Eid mubarak” or “a blessed Eid” joyfully. Muslim will celebrate Eid ul fitr on Monday 26th June 2017 according to the Islamic calendar.

What is Eid-Al-Fitr ?

The festival of Eid is fast approaching and this is one of the best festival of the Islamic religion. The people of Islam loves to celebrate this festival with great joy and this festival is also veru important to note about. This Eid is also called as the “feast of breaking of the fast”. Islam religion celebrates this festival after the end of the Ramazan month.
This particular religious Eid is also the first and only day in the month of the Shawwal and at this time, the Muslims are not allowed for fasting too. This particular festival holiday also celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or the 30 days for about dawn to sunset fasting time.
This particular Eid-Al-Fatr festival is also having the particular Salat which is the Islamic prayer too and the 2 Rakats (units) and also quite generally being provided as the open field or also the large hall too. This thing can also be just performed at the congregation and also includes the more of 6 Takbirs which raises the hand for ears while just saying Allahu Akbar and this means that “God is great”.

Eid a time for feasting and celebration

This weekend Islamic people around the world will celebrate the three day Eid al-Fitr festival. Eid al-Fitr is a gazetted holiday in India. It celebrates the end of Ramadan which is a month of fasting and prayer. It is the holy festival of muslims to celebrate festivity.

How people Celebrate EID

Prayers are offered in Mosque and muslims travel far to participate in this activity. On this day people prepare festive meals to share, wear new clothes, visit relatives and give presents or Eidi to children.

Eid al-Fitr is a holiday in a country such as India. Infact nationwide public holiday is specially declared.

Background

It is not possible to predict the date of Eid-al-Fitr according to the Gregorian calendar accurately. This is due to the reason that the month of Shawwal begins, and hence the month of Ramadan ends, after a confirmed sighting of the new moon. In specific locations the new moon may be sighted earlier or later.
